Dean Hovell, Senior Producer
Dean brings many talents to every production, not the least of which is his cool demeanor which is most appreciated when we’re covering “breaking news” at NADA’s convention. Dean’s quiet leadership was forged in the white-hot pressure cooker of network television news deadlines. Dean won two national Emmys during a 22 year career with ABC News. The first was for video editing at the Winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988. The second was for his production work on ABC’s Millennium Special. Dean served in many positions at ABC culminating in his appointment as Senior Operations Producer in Washington for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. Prior to that, as a network news field producer, he covered major news events across the globe, traveling from Haiti to Bosnia and Moscow to Somalia. Dean, who’s based in the Washington area, currently writes and produces videos for a wide range of clients including AARP. He’s the founder of Locked-On Communications, a leader in providing mobile digital satellite technology and television production. So when you have video that needs to go from here to there, call Dean. He’ll make it happen. He’s an old news pro. Failure is not an option. Visit his company’s website at www.locked-on.net.
